What is an eStatement? -An eStatement is an electronic version of your regular paper bank statement.
How does eStatements work? -After electing to have eStatements instead of paper statements we will verify your ability to receive email notices and open a sample PDF document. Once verified and beginning with your next statement cycle, an email will be delivered to you at your designated email address alerting you when your eStatement is available. Then, at your convenience, simply sign in to First State Bank's Online Banking go to eStatements under the Accounts tab to view past and current eStatements.
Are eStatements secure? -Security is one of the many benefits of eStatements. .First State Bank is always concerned about the security of your information. Only you can access your statements through the security of Online Banking and its use of multi-layered authentication. eStatements also eliminates the possibility of statements being lost or tampered with in the mail.
How do I sign up for eStatements? - You must be an Online Banking Customer. As an introductory offer to our new Online Banking Service you will receive both paper statements and eStatements.
Will I receive eStatements for all my First State Bank accounts? - Yes you will receive eStatements for all your First State Bank accounts.
Do I have to be a First State Bank Online Banking customer to receive eStatements? -Yes, you must be a First State Bank Online Banking customer to receive eStatements.
Is there a charge for eStatements? -There is a no charge for eStatements unless you elect to still receive paper statements in conjunction with eStatements the fee then will be $4.95. As a bonus for electing to use eStatements instead of paper statements you can receive First State Banks Bill Pay for free.
What if I elect to continue receiving paper statements along with eStatements? -There is an option to receive eStatements and paper statements simultaneously. There will be a $4.95 fee to receive both a paper statement and eStatements simultaneously.
How will I know when my eStatements are ready? -You will be notified by an email to the email account you specify and we verify is a working email address.
How do I view my eStatement once I have been notified it is available? -Log in to First State Bank 's Online Banking, Click on the Accounts tab and then click on the eStatements tab. You can then choose the eStatement you wish to view. The eStatement is displayed as a PDF document, you will need Adobe Reader to view your eStatement.

When will I receive eStatement notification? -One of the many benefits of eStatements is you will receive your bank statements faster than waiting for mail delivery! As soon as your eStatement is ready you will be notified via email.
What if my email address changes? -Please Call First State Bank at 563-578-3312 and a customer service representative will be happy to assist you.
Will I still receive the inserts that were included in with my paper statements? -For your convenience, statement stuffers and annual mailings will be emailed along with your eStatements notification.
What if I did not receive email notification that my statement was available? -You may wish to contact First State Bank 563-578-3312 to have a customer service representitive verify your email address. However, your eStatement will still be available within Online Banking under the eStatements tab.
Can I print my eStatements? -You may still print your statement, just like you would print any other document from your computer.
How long is my eStatement stored online? -We will retain 18 months of history online from the time you sign up to receive eStatements.
Can I view check images? -Yes, there is the ability to view check images within Online Banking and they will still be included with your eStatement.
What should I do if I need copies of statements or cancelled checks prior to enrolling for eStatements? Is there a charge? -Please contact First State Bank 563-578-3312 and a customer service representitive will be happy to assist you. Certain fees may apply.
Can I cancel eStatements and go back to paper statements? -Yes, you can cancel eStatements and go back to receiving paper statements if you choose. However, if your a Bill Pay customer you will be charged the regular Bill Pay fee of $4.95.
Can I have my eStatement sent to more than one email address? -No we can only send to one designated email address.
Will my statement reconciliation form (statement back) still be available online? -No the back side is not imaged and will not be available. There is a reconciliation feature of our Online Banking to assist you in balancing your account.
Will my eStatement look the same as my paper statement? -Yes, our eStatements will look the same as our paper statements.
Do I need any special software to view my eStatements? -Yes. Access to your eStatements is available on any computer with Internet and email access you will need the free Adobe Reader form www.adobe.com to view and print your eStatements.
Will I still receive year-end tax statements? -Any end-of-year statements will be mailed out.
